COMPETITION ENTRIES:

Entries are only open to persons 18 years and over, who are residents of Canterbury, New Zealand and have not had a portrait experience with The Portrait Studio or any other Photographer within the last 12 months. Late entries will not be accepted. Entry forms not properly completed will be rejected. Copies will not be accepted. Prize winners will be notified by email or phone. The decision of the studio will be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

PROMOTIONAL GIFT CERTIFICATES & SPECIAL DISCOUNT OFFERS:

Must be redeemed prior to the expiry date specified on the Gift Certificate or by the Special Offer deadline, provided the holder has not had a portrait experience with The Portrait Studio or any other Photographer in the last 12 months (date calculated from the previous photography date). Promotional Gift Certificates and Discount Offers cannot be used for commercial photography or extended family photo shoots. One Gift Certificate/Discount Offer per household. One Gift Certificate/Discount Offer per Portrait Experience. Prizes are non-transferable and are not exchangeable or redeemable in whole or in part for any cash equivalent. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other separate offer or promotion. 

 

APPOINTMENT BOOKING DEPOSIT and SESSION FEE:

A booking deposit of $100 or a session fee will be required to secure and hold your Portrait Experience appointments. This deposit or fee ensures your commitment to the scheduled appointments. If you have a gift certificate the deposit is refundable, provided that you have completed both your portrait session and design consultation at the correctly scheduled time and date. Failure to attend or complete your scheduled appointments or failure to cancel within 10 days of your appointments, will result in the forfeiture of your booking deposit or session fee and any promotional gift certificate or special discount offers. Please note that our Cake Smash Sessions and Fine Art Sessions come with additional charges.

 

NON-TRANSFERABLE:

Promotional Vouchers, Special Discount Offers and Gift Certificates are NON Transferable and can not be transferred or gifted between clients. They are not exchangeable or redeemable in whole or in part for any cash equivalent. The vouchers and gift certificates cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, prize or promotion. Only one (1) Gift Certificate can be used at a time.  You cannot use the Gift Certificate to purchase products from any other photo sessions.

 

FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM COMPETITIONS:

By entering our Facebook and/or Instagram competition, the entrant acknowledges that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with, Facebook or Instagram in any way.

 

ARTISTIC CONTROL:

The Portrait Studio reserves artistic control over the design and content of each photos session. We may, at our discretion, decline to create certain types or styles of photography. We reserve the right to refuse to produce images at some sizes or combinations of sizes if we believe such images would or could be detrimental to our reputation as a professional studio or as professional photographers.

Clients should discuss their requirements with the studio prior to the portrait session.

 

REFUSAL OF SERVICE:

The Portrait Studio reserves the right to refuse service if, in our opinion, the provision of service is likely to cause or has caused disruption to either staff members, other clients or the normal operation of business.

The Portrait Studio reserves the right to refuse any animal, including any that poses a threat to the safety of staff or clients. 

 

WHOLE FAMILY POLICY:

The Portrait Studio reserves the right to refuse service if the entire family does not attend the portrait session and purchasing appointment.    

 

APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULE POLICY:

Gift Certificates and Promotional Vouchers entitle the holder to a SINGLE PORTRAIT EXPERINECE ONLY. Once made, an appointment cannot be rescheduled and the Gift Certificate is deemed to have been used in full at that original appointment time and date.

*NOTE: In exceptional circumstances, management may, at their sole discretion, reschedule an appointment and carry forward the Gift Certificate and holding fee / deposit

 

NON ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Non attendance at any appointment without notice, will result in the forfeiture of the booking deposit and the withdrawal of any special offers. Any Gift Certificates are then deemed to have been used in full if you fail to attend or complete your scheduled appointments. 

 

EXTENDED FAMILY POLICY:

Extended families are deemed to be groups larger than six and where a group consists of several families together. Different prices apply so please contact the studio for a current quote. Extended family bookings are taken at the discretion of the photographer and require a consultation to make a booking. Promotional Gift Certificates or Special Discount Offers are not available for extended family shoots.

COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP:

Unrestricted Copyright to all images created during the portrait experience is deemed to belong solely to The Portrait Studio. I agree that all original capture and copyright of all printed and digital Portrait imaging remain the property of The Portrait Studio and they must not be copied or replicated in any format, unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing. The Portrait Studio has the right to use reproductions for the purpose of creating samples of work, entry into photographic competitions, exhibitions, advertising, editorial or art displays, general displays, or any other commercial application for The Portrait Studio.

DIGITAL PORTRAIT COLLECTIONS - PRINT RELEASE: 

The below applies to all Digital Portrait Collections purchased and received from The Portrait Studio
1. You have permission to use the high-resolution digital portraits provided to you for personal use only, including but not limited to printing, copying, emailing and online publishing.
2. The Digital Portraits cannot be used for commercial or editorial purposes without written consent from The Portrait Studio. You may not use the digital portraits in any way that results in financial gain, including but not limited to advertising, stock photography or resale of any nature.
3. You may not edit or alter the digital portraits in any way or claim them as your own.
4. The Portrait Studio is not liable for colouring errors, print quality or cropping of any portrait not printed directly by The Portrait Studio.
5. Copyright ownership of all Digital Portraits remains with The Portrait Studio.

REFUNDS:

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind once your order has been placed. We offer a quality guarantee on all artistry and workmanship.

MINI SESSIONS: 

Because Mini Sessions are available on a limited basis, all Mini Session bookings are final and non-refundable.
